Is there any prospect of the .cdecls directive becoming working in the mnemonic assembler soon?
I could really do with it. I don't want to keep maintaining my Python 'C' to Ti mnemonic translator nor do I want to use the algebraic assembler.
John
I'm sorry, but there are no plans to add support for .cdecls to the C5500 mnemonic assembler.
Thanks and regards,
-George
For those of us who have projects with 'C' and assembler source this is a very unhelpful attitude. Consistancy of constants between the two types of source code is very important in maintaining project integrity. It's all too easy to change one file and not the other, either through forgetting or being new to the code base.
True I don't know the assembler source code but since .cdecls is already available in the algebraic assembler how hard can it be to cut and paste it into the mnemonic assembler?
I urge you to re-consider your decision. Is there some way a formal request can be made for .cdecls as a new feature?
