CCS/CODECOMPOSER: V6.1.2 Windows 10 install issue

Hello,

I have been recently upgraded to a windows 10 machine (previously W7) and am attempting to recreate our environment which is running CCS V6.1.2. 

I have researched many of the other issues shared on this forum and have already attempted the following:

- Utilized offline installer (disabling anti-virus is a no-go)

- Removed the 2005, 2010 and 2012 MSVC redistributables and re-installed (rebooted afterwards)

- Tried offline installer for CCS V6.1.3.00034

As far I as I can tell, none of this seems to help and I see the same error. Issue appearsto be while installing the emulation package? I attempted to install the latest emulation package separately (ti_emupack_setup_8.0.27.9_win_32.exe) and that seemed to install without any issues  . . . 

I have been deleting the install directory in between attempts, logs are attached. Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Edward,

    The logs you've posted are from the 6.1.2 install. They show that you're failing to install a third party emulator from Spectrum digital. If you don't need it, could you try installing without the SD component? Let me know if that works for you.

    Btw, official support for Windows 10 started at 6.1.3.

    Hi Danish,

    Thanks for the reply. I did see a note that windows 10 support started at 6.1.3, but that doesn't seem to have done the trick. I re-attempted the installs (for both 6.1.3 and 6.1.2) without the SD component, and the installation seemed to progress a bit more but still failed. 

    I will be utilizing SD probes XDS200 and XDS510LC, so would like to have that support in there.

    Could you zip up the contents of C:\Program Files (x86)\InstallJammer Registry\sd_emupack and post the file here?
    Please note, the "InstallJammer Registry" folder is a hidden folder.

    Hi Edward,
    Sorry it's taking so long, I'm unable to reproduce the issue here, unfortunately. We're seeing segmentation violations, in both runs (with and without SD). Could you confirm that you're running as admin? If not, can you please try that?

    Thanks for continuing to look into this, yes, I am running the installation with admin permissions.

    The latest approach I have attempted is to install version 7.0.0.00043 as it appears there was a fix for the SD probe installer pushed out with this release, but the installation still fails with similar messages.

    HI Edward,

    Was 7.4.0 failing on SD again? Could you install without SD for now? We can add it in later. CCS is now up to version 8.1.0, btw.

    Yes, I am seeing the failures while installing SD for both 7.0.43 and 8.1.0. However I am able to install these newer versions without the SD package. I was able to configure CCS to run with our previous compiler, so I think this is the path forward (assuming we can get our emulators working).

    What is the recommended approach for adding the SD emulator support at this point?

    Hi Edward,

    That's good to hear. We can now install SD separately, via the GUI so we can see where the error is coming from, if any. What version of CCS would you like to use, going forward? I can send you the correct SD version via email, if you accept my request to connect.
