I'm having the same problem. I have a Windows 10 and require a separate, local machine administrator account to install programs. I've installed the TICloudAgent twice; once into the administrator account (c:\Users\admin_account\TICloudAgent) as well as my network user account (c:\Users\network_account). I can get it to work if I run Chrome as admin_account, but not as network_account. I can manually run the ticloudagent.bat file in a command window and it responds with {"port":62808, "version":"4.6"} which makes me think that it can run, but it's not looking in the right place. BTW, after installation, the files were owned by the admin_account user and I switched them to the network_account user, but still, no dice.

    David,

    The scenario you have, where the user account does not have administrator rights on Windows and software needs to be installed using separate admin credentials, will currently not work with Cloud Agent.  You correctly surmised one of the problems is some files are not in the right place.

    This use case will be addressed in upcoming releases of Cloud Agent. It would be possible to get this working temporarily by copying files around, but it will break again on the next update. If no admin rights can be granted for the user account, another short term solution for you may be to try out the Energia framework.
