CCS: Unable to edit launch configurations in CCSV8

I have the exact problem the previous post had.

I don't see that there was ever a solution.

I am running this on linux_x86_64.

Recently installed CCSV8 and I am no longer able to edit launch configurations from within the CCS IDE.  The error message when trying to edit is:

"Exception occurred creating launch configuration tabs.  Reason:  No tab group defined for launch configuration type com.ti.ccstudio.debug.launchType.device.debugging"

A second message appears after OK is pressed as follows:

"No tabs defined for launch configuration type Code Composer Studio - Device Debugging"

Any help fixing this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    Did you try reinstalling in a clean folder as suggested in one of the later posts?
