CCS/CCSTUDIO: Update freezing - CCS 8.2

Gents,

Running CCS 8.2 in a Win 7 Pro 64 machine. Have been using this PC and various versions of CCS successfully for a few years already...

For over a month, the "Update Available" has been popping up, but when trying to follow with the update process, it will freeze as per the image below:

Some of the "trying again" eventually succeed, as can be seen above - but I left this as long as overnight, and the update just won't finish. Attempting to Cancel pops a warning that "cancelling in the middle will make things unstable", so the only way out is to force down the application via program manager.

Searching for similar posts, I found only this, although I do not get any error related to certificates.

    Do you know which updates were selected to install? I imagine you just told it to install all updates, but am curious if some of them installed fine while others were hanging/taking longer.

    If you are able to try this again, could you Check for Updates, then select one or two updates to install at a time and let us know if specific updates are causing an issue or all of them in general.

    I know that there was only ONE update available - unfortunately, I was not smart enough to take note of what it was before the bug last happened.

    This issue has happened some 3 or 4 times in the last month. I'm looking at the Installation History tab, but it does not seem to have any useful information.

    I've been using CCS daily since you wrote back, but the updates warning did not show up again. Searching for updates also returns nothing available at the moment - so I'll just keep my eyes open and reply here in case I'm able to capture additional relevant info.
