CCS/TMS320C5505: unable to open GEL file

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I am having issues with loading a gel file. The following error shows up on my console when in debug mode in Target Config and select Launch Selected Configuration.

console log: C55xx: GEL: Error loading file 'C:\ti\ccsv8\emulation\boards\usbstk5505\gel\usbstk5505.gel': unable to open GEL file 'C:\ti\ccsv8\emulation\boards\usbstk5505\gel\usbstk5505.gel'

I followed this path and the emulation section is not listed under C:\ti\ccsv8\

Additionally I am unable to find usbstk5505.gel.

Where can I get the usbstk5505.gel so I can create the path needed for this program or how do I resolve this issue?

    Hi,

    This board is sold by Spectrum Digital, therefore this file is available when the Spectrum Digital Emulators support is selected during install.

    You can re-run the CCS installer and point to the existing directory you have - this way you can add this support to your setup (the third or fourth screen into the installation process).

    CCSv9 will correct that. This file will be automatically added when the C5000 device support is selected.
