CCS/DSPBIOS: DSP Bios Not running on Windows 10

Part Number: DSPBIOS

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi

Just received a new laptop. It's running windows 10 64bit. Code Composer Studio is working fine. But I can not open DSP Bios configuration tool.

I am getting the following popup messages:

Popup 1. "Failed to update the system registry. Please try using REGEDIT.

press Ok button to close.

Popup 2. "CoCreateInstance failed: hiervw.dll"

press Ok button to close.

Popup 3. "Unable to Create BIOS Config Server"

press Ok button to close.

Code Composer Studio version is 5.2

DSP version TMS320C6424

DSP/Bios version 5.41.13.42

I can not find a fix for this in the forum.

  • Hi,
as I remember CCS5.2 is not supported on Win10.
  • Hi,

Unfortunately I can't reproduce this error.

However, I can't help but wonder that the installation has somehow became corrupt. Unfortunately I could find only one instance where this error was found, thus you can follow the procedure mentioned there.

    Hope this helps,
