Hi,

I am trying to work with the mmWave industrial toolkit on CCS v8.3.

I haven't used any previous versions before. When i open the Resource Explorer, it keeps loading.

However, i am able to access the Resource Explorer online.

The proxy settings are already in 'Native' mode as suggested in this like (http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Troubleshooting_CCSv7#Resource_Explorer
I tried removing the tirex-localserver-3.6.5 folder in <user>/ti directory and reopening CCS as well.

Can you also provide the resource explorer log?

Addtional Note: When i try the 'Check for Updates' option, that also hangs at 50%. But as i mentioned before, the proxy settings are set to 'native' and i am not using any proxies on my pc anyway.

Hi Navoda,

I can see from the logs that the updates are failing too, e.g.

!ENTRY com.ti.ccstudio.app.center 4 0 2019-02-06 14:12:48.877
!MESSAGE Unable to read software-dl.ti.com/.../apps_8.3.0.json file.

So there do seems to be an issue with the proxy somehow. You said you're not using any, but the logs show that a proxy "http://access515***.com" is being used. Maybe that's the problem?

Do you see content and the video in the "Getting Started" view when CCS comes up?

Hi Oliver,

Sorry about the misinformation. I just checked on my local PC. But then i realized that the IT people might be sending the traffic through a proxy server or something.

If that is the case, do i still have a workaround that i can use, other than asking them to allow these specific links?

And yes, i can see the content and the video in the "Getting Start" view. And also i can see the SYS/BIOS content in Resource Explorer Classic (But maybe that's stored locally).

the little video in the Getting Stated view is able to play? Are you also able to check for and install any CCS updates?

Resource Explorer Classic is for old, locally installed content
