Hi,
In CCS v8, it failed to open the resource explorer and shows:
Tried every method in wiki, still failing to open it.
Regards
Are you running CCSv8.0, 8.1, 8.2, 8.3 or 8.3.1?
The first thing to check is if Resource Explorer has been updated to 3.7.0. THere are instructions for that here:
http://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/ccs_tirex_update.html
If that is updated could you please zip up and attach any files located in C:/Users/<username>/ti/tirex-localserver-3.7.0/.logs
After attaching the logs you can try clearing the local Resource Explorer database as shown here: https://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/users_guide/ccs_troubleshooting.html#clear-the-resource-explorer-cache
Another thing that can cause this is if you have a lot of software packages installed on the machine. The process that parses these can run out of heap memory. I actually hit that when trying to reproduce this in my CCSv8.1 install. I moved a bunch of software packages that I was not using to a different location. I cleared the database as shown in the link above. I then restarted CCS and Resource Explorer loaded for me.

John
Hi,
The problem is solved temporarily. I suppose it's caused by unstable network. The process can take a long time to act but works fine now.
Thanks for your help any way.

Hi,
Sorry to bother again but the problem ocurred again today after I installed mmWave Industrial Toolbox and TI mmWave SDK under the folder C:/ti.
I suppose it is these packages caused the crash but the user's guide specifically emphasized these tools should be installed under C:/ti.I wonder if there is a good way to solve that.
Thanks again.
Jiang
Jiang,
Can you send me the logs from here: C:/Users/<username>/ti/tirex-localserver-3.7.0/.logs
I am wondering if this is a heap issue.
Regards,
John
Hi,
My CCS works fine again today. So it looks like it's still the network's fault.
Below is the log from last Friday. Could you tell me how to identify the problem from the log so I could try to solve the problem by myself. Thank you very much.
Regards,
Jiang
Jiang,
One of our Resource Explorer experts took a look at the log and they can see some of the calls to the server are taking a very long time to return. THus is really does look like it is an internet speed issue.

John
