CCS: Resource Explorer: Unable to connect to internet

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

In CCS v8 the Resource Explorer can't establish a connection.

Then outputs:

An internal error has occurred.
java.lang.NullPointerException

Followed the wiki instructions for  native network connections, restarted CCS, twice.

Deleted tirex-localserver. Killed all node processes.

Do you have this issue while on the TI network or external? Or both?

  • Thanks, Robert. Please also provide the Resource Explorer log file from c:\Users\<user>\ti\tirex-localserver-3.6.5\.logs.

    Thanks,

  • Hi Oliver,

    There you go.

Yesterday TIREX was working fine. Today not anymore..

    Regards

    tirex-2018-06-26.log

  • Hi Robert,

When Tirex starts up it scans the c:\ti folder to look for new packages to import. Based on your log file this operation takes longer than the current set time out value of 30 secs. CCS thinks Tirex is unresponsive even though it's not. It looks like you may have a lot of content in your c:\ti folder that requires a long time to scan. To confirm this is the issue, could you temporarily move most of your files to somewhere else and see if Tirex starts up?

    Thanks! -Oliver

  • Thank you Oliver.
That seemed to be the issue.
