CCS/IWR6843ISK-ODS: Quit from Visualizer after migrated to E2.0

Part Number: IWR6843ISK-ODS
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR6843

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

1. I run the project of Lab Overhead People Counting based on CCS 8.3.1 IWR6843 ODS ES2 SDK3.3.0.3 Industrial Toolbox 4.0.1

It is OK when run on ES1.0 with both of Visualizer GUI_A_base_no_logic and GUI_B_gui_filteringLogic

2. However when I migrated to ES2.0  based on SDK3.3.0.3 Industrial Toolbox 4.0.1

All of migrated procedures based on the guided document of 'Migrating to IER68xx and IWR18xx Millimeter Wave Sensors'

It quit from Visualizer  GUI_A_base_no_logic and GUI_B_gui_filteringLogic

The results logged shown as followings,

   (2.1) run on Visualizer  GUI_A_base_no_logic

   (2.2) run on GUI_B_gui_filteringLogic

Kevin

  • Hi Kevin,

Please run the device in debug mode through CCS - we should see an error in the CCS debug console at runtime, this will determine what is wrong.

    Regards,

    Justin

  • Hi Justin,

After running DEBUG mode and performing VISUALIZER then found TWO errors as shown following,

    Regards,

    Kevin

  • Hi Kevin,

I am happy to help you continue debugging here - however an improved demo has been released in industrial toolbox 4.1.0 - see "68xx_3D_People_Counting"

This runs on ODS or ISK (ES2.0 only). The point cloud is improved over the point cloud in the Overhead People Counting demo. If you are still evaluating, I would recommend trying that demo as in most cases, the performance is improved over the overhead people counting demo.

    Regards,

    Justin

  • Hi Justin,

I try to run Overhead People Counting demo based on Industrial toolbox 4.1.0 (IWR6843 ODS ES2.0) what you recommended

I would like to close this thread now

    Regards,

    Kevin
