CCS: Install CCS V6 .2 on Win10

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I have closed all anti-virus software, and the installation path does not contain any non-ASCII characters, but when installing the latest version of CCS6, the following problems still occur, I hope that TI engineers can help me solve this problem.

  • Could you please zip up the contents of ccs/install_logs and post here?

    thanks,

  • Hello,

Note that you are trying to install an old (and unsupported) version of CCS. Is there any reason why you are tying to install this old version?

If possible, I would recommend updating to a more recent version. If your Windows 10 version is 64-bit, please try using CCS 9.2.0. If not, try CCS 8.3.1

    Thanks

  • Thanks for your reply, I don't know that CCSV6 is not supported now, but for business reasons I really need to install CCSV6. Also, isn't CCSV6 the last version to support win10? And I have successfully installed CCSV6 on win10 before, but after reinstalling the system, I can't install it again. So, I hope that you can check my error log posted above to see if the failure of installation is because of compatibility issues or something else.

It is true that CCSv6.1.3 (and later) was officially supported on Windows 10. However, CCSv6 itself is an older product that has been deprecated in support. I understand the desire to stick to a familiar version of the product but if at all possible, I would recommend updating your version to get the latest bug fixes and enhancements. If your company has a strict requirement to stay with v6, we will analyze the logs and see if we can find a workaround for you

We may have a workaround for you to install CCSv6. Please start a private conversation with me if you wish to try the workaround.

    Thanks
