CCS/CC3200: Can' t import project to new version of CCS

Part Number: CC3200

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello there fellows!

I was in ccsv7 and now downloaded ccsv9,however when i go to import my CCS projects(they are all CC3200) it won't recognize them. I tried v8 and it won't either. Is there a solution or shall i keep using v7?

Greetings

Could you provide more details, such as any error messages shown during import? Are these your own custom projects or example projects provided with the SimpleLink SDK?

Some common project import errors are documented in this page: http://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/sdto_ccs_build-errors.html

Please check if that helps addresses your issue. If not, please provide additional details (such as a screenshot of the error) and if possible an example project so we can reproduce the error.

  • Since I haven’t heard back from you, I’m assuming you were able to move past this issue. If not, please feel free to post a reply with the requested details so we can look into it. Thanks!

  • Hey! Sorry for the delay i was busy. I found what's wrong, Google drive corrupts the project files and i had uploaded them there. When i tried to restore them from there to my pc and import them ccs wouldn't recognize them. Fortunately i had them in their original form and restored them.
By "recognize" i mean the ccs import window wouldn't show them. This happens with older versions of ccs too.
