Compiler/TMS320F28034: compiler missing

Part Number: TMS320F28034

Tool/software: TI C/C++ Compiler

my workstation is offline, so i can only download compiler from ti website and install it locally, the version i downloaded is c2000 18.1.7 LTS windows installer, and the compiler is installed at ti/ccsv6/tools/compiler/, in the directory there exists other old versions of compiler and they are out dated.

here comes the thing, when i start a new ccs project, only old version compilers can be selected, the newly installed one doesn't show up, and i checked the preference contents, the ccs composer studio/compiler still shows old version, and i add the installation path and press fresh btn, nothing occures.

so how can i fix this?

    The new compiler should get detected when the refresh button is pressed.

    Can you take a screenshot of your compiler discovery preferences? Something like the below:

    In my screenshot above, I added the path to c2000 19.6.0.STS and then pressed the Refresh button to have it detected by CCS.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

    Just adding to Ki's reply above, I am unsure what may be happening in your case. I just downloaded the compiler and installed under the same directory in my CCSv6.2.0 install here.

    I can attest it is properly acknowledged by the IDE.

    I see you already clicked on the "Refresh" button, which should trigger the acknowledgment. Could try restarting CCS instead? This should trigger a re-scan of the compilers and get it added to the tool.

    Hope this helps,

    Rafael

  • hi,Rafael

    it is not convinent to take screen shots, that pc not allowed to access the internet, and taking photo also forbiddened.

    I followed exact steps Ki ang you did, but it didn't work, I am wondering something must be wrong for the strategies used by my administrator on that pc, I tried those steps on my own pc, it works well.

    thanks for your help.
