CCS/CC1310: Possible to reduce sample rate of energytrace in build XDS110 tool?

Hi,

I just realized with sampling rate at 250K, my 1 year old laptop can barely keep up, the spec (I7-8565 +16GB ram + PCIe SSD) is not that bad at all. Some of my other not too old laptops simply give up after a few seconds. 1 minute worth of data amounts to 600M+ csv file on disk.

During development, some quick and dirty look at 1K/second should be enough. So my question is, can we reduce the sample rate in XDS110 somehow?

That thread talked about I believe an old version with sample frequency at 1KHz. I don't have a problem with that.

I assume the sampling frequency in XDS110 on CC1352P launchpads cannot be adjusted.

I believe it can depend on debug probe settings. Did you try SWD mode on the XDS110?

My bad. I meant to ask about the XDS110 on C1352P launchpad. The XDS110 on CC1310 launchpads seems not support energytrace at all.

With that said, is it possible/how to adjust the sample rate on CC1352P?

On a side note, I managed to run energytrace on another old laptop with similar spec but on Ubuntu.

Unfortunately no. The sample rates are fixed for both ET (2kSPS) and ET HDR (256kSPS).

What is the recommended computer system requirement to work with ET-HDR? I am having trouble to get ET-HDR to work reliably on my not too old laptop,
