Hi,

Is anyone used Elprotronic Flashpro430 Flash programming adapter with CCS version 10 or other lower version.

With Flashpro430 connected on my PC,I'm unable to launch the target configuration in CCSV10 and getting warnings like "Error Initializing Emulator,NO USB FET was found".

I have tried with all 3 options in the target configuration settings TI MSP430 USB1,2 & 3 but didn't work. Could anybody help me here or should i contact Elprotronic?

    Hi Nanthan,

    I'll check with Elprotronic. In the meantime, you could try using the FlashPro430 without a USB hub and connected to a USB 2.0 port if possible. If it's extremely urgent to program your device, you could also build your code in CCS, save the output file (e.g. .ti-txt, .out) and then program your device using the FlashPro430 and the associated Elprotonic GUI.

    I should hear back from them in a few days at the latest.

    Hi Nanthan,

    I'm sorry, but I haven't heard back from Elprotronic yet. My contact there may be on vacation. Can you try reaching out to them directly? They should be able to answer your question. For now, I would just recommend using the workaround that I mentioned.

    Hi James,

    Thanks for your reply. As per Elprotronic  "The newest CCS uses 64 b application dll for connecting external tools. The USB-FPA supports only 32- application dll and cannot be used with the newest CCS. CCSv7 or 8 may support it". Currently I'm using MSP430FR5994 LaunchPad to connect MSP430F5438A with CCS.(via SBWTDIO,SBWTCK)
