Tool/software: Code Composer Studio
CCS Version: 10.2.0.00009
MSP430Ware Version: 3.80.13.03
DriverLib Version: 2.91.13.01
ISSUE - Resource Explorer correctly installs MSP430Ware and Driver Library (inside of MSP430Ware) and recognizes that it has been installed (green checkbox) however Code Composer Studio fails to detect that it has been installed.
ACCORDING TO DOCUMENTATION, for MSP430Ware / Driver Library Release Notes Ver. 2.91.13.01, section "Installation and Usage" :
"After installing MSP430Ware or Driver Library restart Code Composer Studio. When opening CCS you will be greeted with a window like that shown below (shows Add Discovered Products window)"
This window never shows up in reality though.
RESOLUTION OPTIONS
(1) Fix CCS so it recognizes Driver Library again
(2) Update notes on Driver Library to indicate that CCS no longer recognizes Driver Library for new projects.
This is EXTREMELY CONFUSING for new users to the software, please fix it.
