PSPICE-FOR-TI: TLV522 PSPICE Library

Part Number: PSPICE-FOR-TI
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV522, TLV9042

Hello team,

My customer would like to simulate TLV522 circuit as the attached project file. However he can see the following error massage.
Would you please advice how we can fix pspice file of TLV522?

  • Hello Akihisa,

This warning indicates that the library file uses Unix formatting (LF) instead of Windows formatting (CRLF). I downloaded your project and changed the format of the file. (If you decide to do this, please note that it will trigger the 3-probe limit on "external" models because it is no longer the TI model from ti.com.) However, the new format still gave me a new error about missing nodes. I believe this is an issue within the model itself. I am going to move this thread over to the produce line responsible for the model.

    Thank you,

    Jackie

  • Hello Jackie and Akihisa-san,

I grabbed the model and used it as-is to import it into TINA, where it worked properly. This may be an issue with PSpice for TI. In the meantime we suggest using TINA, and I have attached the TINA schematic and macro model here.

  • Jerry-san, Jackie-san,

    Thank you for your support.

As the customer feedback, He would like to calculate with  PSPICE for TI, so he requested TI to provide with the modified PSPICE model of TLV522. Is it okay to discuss about it in offline?

    Best Regards,
    Akihisa Tamazaki

  • Hey Tamazaki-san,

I have been redirected to this link that resolves the issue on our end through this e2e FAQ. Jerry and I will work to republish the integrated library. The upload can take up to a week to work in PSpice for TI and the model library refresh must be up to date.

    All the best,
    Carolina

  • Hello Caro,

Thank you for looking into the model and getting it revised.

  • Caro-san,

Thank you so much for your support.
I will ask the customer to wait for a week, then refresh the TI library.

    Best Regards,
    Akihisa Tamazaki

  • Hello Tamazaki-san,

Thanks for the email ping. Jerry and I doubled checked this ticket and got the same error:

We will go ahead and republish again.

In the meantime, I noticed that TLV522 has no stock on ti.com:

I believe a good alternative would be the TLV9042 which has ti.com stock and the following comparison table:

It also has a PSpice for TI integrated library that is currently working:

I downloaded the above attached project from the customer and added the TLV9042. I noticed a couple of things from the original attachment from the customer, the power supply was over Vss = 5.5V (±5V=10V) and the input source's frequency is above the GBW of the TLV522. I adjusted the power supplies to be within the Vss 5.5V (±2.75=5.5V) and suggested a higher bandwidth device (TLV9042).

    All the best,

  • Caro-san,

    Thank you for your commet.
However the customer select TLV522 because it is low Iq and low price.
So the customer hope the modified TLV522 IBIS model  to make design report.

Your help would be so appreciated.

  • Hello Tamazaki-san,

The TLV522 model was published yesterday. I suspect it may take up to a week to be in the integrated library.

    All the best,
    Carolina

  • Carolina-san,

    Thank you for your support.
I will confirm it next week, then I will let the customer know.

If I have some issues, I would let you know.

    Best Regards,
    Akihisa Tamazaki
