TIDA-010054: TIDA-010054: DC blocking capacitor

Part Number: TIDA-010054

Hello,

Regarding the design of the DC-blocking capacitors, I am interested in why it is so crucial to maintain the rectangle waveform on the leakage inductance in the DAB.

Thank you.

  • Hi Milan,

    Thanks for reaching out.
The design of TIDA-010054 is based on the rectangular waveforms applied to the coupling/leakage inductor. Changing this impacts the control scheme as well as the maximum power transfer and would require a different theoretical derivation.
In our design we wanted to keep the approach of a standard Dual Active Bridge with phase shift control of rectangular waveforms.

    Best regards,

    Andreas
