LM73606-Q1: PSpice for TI simulation fail

Tool/software:

I have been trying to simulation the part in PSpice for TI.  The only output I receive is near 0V (~200nV)

Circuit Design Params:

Vin: 5V

Vout: 1V

I out: 1.5A

I have not been able to see any of the switching waveforms, leading me to believe the part is not starting.  I have also noted that the BIAS pin needs a voltage applied, different than the datasheet describes. Is this correct for the model usage?

I would also like to do an AC sweep analysis of the design to get an idea of the behavior. Webench provides some information for initial screening, but not enough to go with.  And that tool indicates that a different simulation should be completed. I need to understand the gain and phase margin of the design.

Previous users have noted that while they were able to simulate the model, the output values were 0.

  • Hi Steven,

Thank you for your question. I took a look through the thread you sent. It seems that they were getting 0 V when not using the correct PSPICE program and the issue resolved once PSPICE for TI was used.

It looks like bias is being shorted to supply, have you tried shorting bias to vout or to gnd?

    Thank you,
