Hi,

I am trying to run simulation of TPS560430Y_TRANS. I am getting this error message

Errors found during the run. Simulation aborted

*** ERROR *** Error in parameter expression 'rvtoi_hs/pk2vl' (Line ref: TPS560430Y_TRANS.lib,441)
Illegal forward reference to parameter 'rvtoi_hs'

I am using Simplis/Simetrix.

Hi Eric,

TI's models only support the use of PSPICE for TI. Please download PSPICE for TI to run our PSPICE models.

I took a quick look at the model. The .PARAM block containing the offending expression is referencing other parameters before they are defined.

Re-arranging the text of the parameters to avoid forward references solved that problem.

This should be fixed in the model to avoid this portability problem.

Please note that not all customers want to use PSPICE for TI, so we need to do a much better job making the models portable.

Joshua,

Attached is a modified model which works in Simplis (thanks to Antenna_Head's help).
Now the challenge is with simulation time. Eric is attempting to run Monte Carlo analysis but each run takes about 6mins.

Hi Brandon,

This may due to the fact that our PSPICE models are not designed to run in SIMPLIS and often take long to simulate on PSPICE for TI. You can try to import the TINA file but you may need to decrease the simulation step in the simulation tab of simplis.
