ERROR(ORCOMMN-12005): Unable to launch OrCAD PSpice TI. A valid License was not found at the <none> license server. Update the license server configuration to include OrCAD PSpice TI licenses.
facing this error after installation. Once it run correctly but on the second day it fails and show this error.
I have the same problem. I installed PSpice on 12/10/25 and now on 12/11/25 I get the same license error. There are posts from 4 years ago that solved the problem by unintalling and re-installing with the claim that this would be fixed on the next release. Did that release happen or are we forced to start over with a fresh installlation?

The fact that the program is looking elsewhere is the problem.
When you did a re-install, did you use add/remove programs to remove and then reboot? The uninstall process removes more than just the program.
If you didn't try that, please go ahead and give it a shot.
Next thing to try will be to clear your registry folder:
And finally, if that doesn't work, we'll need to collect some data to identify what's going on.
To do that, we'll need to setup an environment variable:
CDS_LIC_QA_TesT environment variable
The CDS_LIC_QA_TesT environment variable is a testability code that is set on the client system running the Cadence tools. The variable is set for troubleshooting Licensing issues. CDS_LIC_QA_TesT must be set before the invocation of the Cadence tool. The value of this variable is any writable area on your system.
Windows:
Access the Windows button, search for edit environment variables for your account.
New > CDS_LIC_QA_TesT = c:\cadence\qalog.txt
After setting this variable, invoke the tool. If you get a Licensing error, send the qalog.txt file to Customer Support. The qalog.txt file can grow quite large over time. Hence, it is best to unset the variable when your problem is solved.
Note: Do not set this variable in c:\ drive as you may not have write permission there and the file will not get created. Please set it either in c:\cadence or in a different drive like d:\ .

I have tried everything that you detial above and still have the same license problem. I will send the qalog to Customer Support.

I'll get it to cadnce in case there's anything to help them debug their issue.

Hi,
I installed the latest version from TI few days ago. Worked fine for two days, and then few days ago started getting same error. Things I have tried that DID NOT work:
- Un-installing, rebooting and reinstalling (Gets stuck at trying to download license file, fails and finishes). I tried changing internet connections as well. Nothing worked.
- Clearing registry as David suggested
I have generated the qalog.txt as asked, and is attached.

This is VERY helpful. I've passed your comments and log file on to Cadence. Your reporting and attempts to debug were insighful and will help Cadence identify the source of the error.
If it were just Jan 1, 2025, then I'd guess a problem with the year. But it all started yesterday, 1/13/25. Not sure what's special about that date.
