PSPICE-FOR-TI: PSpice for TI and its models incompatible with regular Cadence OrCAD PSpice

Part Number: PSPICE-FOR-TI
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPSM64406

Tool/software:

I have purchased licenses for OrCAD X Pro Plus 23.X which includes PSPICE.  I have a couple of issues:

  1. My purchased OrCAD and PSPICE for TI cannot be open at the same time.
  2. I cannot open the PSpice for TI simulation for TPSM64406 (SLVME32.ZIP) in my purchased OrCAD.

#1 is notable but less important if I could get #2 working.

#2 sounds like an issue similar to e2e.ti.com/.../pspice-for-ti-cannot-open-pspice-for-ti-schematic-on-orcad-capture

  • Hi Mark,

In regards to 1), you should be able to open both.

Here's a FAQ (from the 17.4 release, but it should still apply).

Are you getting an error message when trying to open TPSM64406?

I hate telling you to check with Cadence on 2, but I know that there's probably nothing I can do to help either.

However, I'd like to be kept in the loop, and maybe I can help push it as well.

    David
