LM5116-HT: Diode emulation LM5116JHD

Part Number: LM5116-HT
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5116

Tool/software:

Hi there once again,

I was simulating the LM5116 circuit. I have a question related with the topic I opened few months ago: https://e2e.ti.com/support/tools/simulation-hardware-system-design-tools-group/sim-hw-system-design/f/simulation-hardware-system-design-tools-forum/1419610/lm5116-ht-simulation-problem/5443138#5443138

Even though I have the diode emulation mode "activated", I am still watching a negative peak of curren when I simule the circuit.

Why is that happening? How can I solve that problem to don´t see any negative current flowing?

Best regards.

  • Hello Nacho

I think this is a simulation model issue. I believe the silicon performance is different than your simulation result.

Please refer the start-up waveform in the EVM User's Guide.
