LMG3422EVM-043: LMG3425R030

Part Number: LMG3422EVM-043

Tool/software:

Hello,

So I have designed my board using the LMG3422EVM-043 as a reference.

Here are the design files.

1538.Schematic.pdfFinal data_rev 7.zip

I am providing a complimentary 1MHz PWM at 28% duty cycle to the HS and LS fets.

I have an external 12V DC supply to power the aux circuits and see the 5V circuits work as intended.

I am slowing ramping the input voltage from 0 and see the output voltage (at no load) also increase proportionally. But when I increase past 150VDC input, the converter starts skipping cycles and the output starts oscillating.

My first thought after reading a lot of these comments in the forum is that maybe I am driving the fets too hard, and I should maybe try decreasing the slew rate by changing R5 and R14 to 70K Ohms.

Could you recommend anything else that I could try? I can share the switching waveform tomorrow for more detail.

Thank you for your time and support!
