Hi, I have tried to simulate the circuit that is provided in the application note of regulator TPS54620 but the simulation result failed saying operating point not found.
To simulate the circuit I have used Tina Software.Again I tried to use the examples that comes with Tina but it doesn't run. To open that I go to open-->examples-->smps-->TPS54620. Only simulation of Smps parts not occur otherwise all occurs. Can you give me solution for this ? I am also attaching the image of the circuit that I have implemented on the Tina software.
Navendu,
Could you provide the .TSC file for us to evaluate? A picture does not contain the simulator settings that may effect the results.
Please also verify that you are running a Transient simulation with the transient model. If you are running a DC analysis, you will not get any useful information from the simulation as it would only contain the initial solution to the matrix for time step 0.
Navendu,
Your simulation works fine when using the Transient simulation. However, you have set your SS cap to 10m which will require a very long simulation time (over 100 seconds of simulation time). I would suggest changing it to 2ns as the reference design has in it. This should result in the simulation completing in a reasonable amount of time. I also removed your VM open circuit. You should use a simple voltage pin for monitoring the output voltage.
Please do not use the transient model for a DC or AC simulation. Here is the updated file:
Thank you Britt for your valuable answer as I am successfully able to simulate the circuit. Can we not simulate the circuit of boost converter(TPS61202). I haven't find that on tina.
Navendu,
We do not currently have a simulation model for the TPS61202. There is an EVM board available for it in the product folder.
