TINA/Spice/TPS2115A: Conversion from IBIS to SPICE model for simulation

Part Number: TPS2115A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

Hi,

is then any way to convert a IBIS model to Spice?

Thanks,

  • Maria,

What kind of simulation do you plan to run with the converted model?

    Thanks,
    JC
  • Hi Maria,

As JC alluded, it really depends on the simulation you want to run as well as the software you have.
But in general, yes, there is a way to convert IBIS model to spice.

For instance, if you have Pspice/OrCad/Allegro version 16.6 and above, you can go the "Model Editor" software within the Cadence Folder, then go to Model menu, then go IBIS Translator.

Also when I search on the web, there are other softwares that recently have upgraded their capability to have IBIS to Spice translation.

    Hope this helps,
    Herman
