TINA/Spice/TINA-TI: PWM frequency generator

Part Number: TINA-TI

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

Hello,

I have a basic question about TINA-TI.

I want to simulate a PWM smoothing circuit.

How should I get a PWM frequency generator in the TINA-TI?

Regards,

Naoki Aoyama

  • Naoki-San,

I am not sure exactly what you mean by a PWM frequency generator. Do you want to create a square wave?
If not, could you explain in brief the function.

    Thanks,
    Karthik
  • Hello Karthik,

    Thank you for your reply.
    Sorry for my poor explanation.

Yes, I want to create a square wave with adjustable duty ratio.

  • Naoki-San,

I am assuming that you want to generate a PWM signal based on some control signal. Please find the TSC file attached. It consists of a ramp generator generated through a voltage generator(determines the frequency) and a DC voltage source (determines the pulse width). Also, you can go through the short training video series on TINA-TI. This could potentially save you some time in the future if there is a delay from our side. Hope that I was of help.

  • Hello Karthik,

    Thank you for your reply.
    It's a good idea.
    I will use the circuit.
