TINA/Spice/TINA-TI: Why can't I add TVS1400 spice model into TINA9?
It sounds like you are trying to import the Pspice model into TINA. Is that correct?
A Pspice model will usually import into TINA without any problems, but in this case, the Pspice model is encrypted and will only work in Pspice. TINA can't recognize any valid statements because of the encryption, and that is what is causing the error.
The model is already available in TINA-TI: www.ti.com/.../toolssoftware. You do not have to do anything additional to import it. Just open the reference design or import the macro (TSM file).
