TINA/Spice/UCC27712: UCC27712 : - Not Able to Simulate for Induction Heater

Part Number: UCC27712
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI,

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

Hi,

I am trying to simulate the switching of an H-Bridge based Induction heater for our application. The bridge driver is the UCC27712 with 2 FGA20N120FTD IGBTS and two High voltage MKP Caps as components of the H-Bridge .  I am attaching the files here.

Thanks,

  • Hi Tony,

One of our team member will take a look at this. Meanwhile could you describe little bit your problem? What do you mean by "not able to simulate"? Is this convergence problem? or does it converge but it does not show the result that you expect perhaps?

  • Hi Tony,

We have looked into the schematic and made few changes UCC27712_mod.TSC.

    1. One terminal of the R1 resistor should be connected to VDD for the bootstrap functionality to work.

    2.  Replaced the Transformer TR1 with a simple inductor and connected the output capacitor C5 to ground.

Please let us know if you have any concern.

    Thanks,

    Somen
