Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools
Hello Webench Team,
In the old version of webench, there were features for editing the copper pour weight as well as introducing vias onto a layout. Are those features still there? I can't for the life of me find them on the new user interface.
If they are not there, when will they be returning (if we plan to bring them back)? Thanks for the help!
Regards,
Russell
Hi Russell,
We do not have this feature and are not planning for this in the new tool. You can still export the PCB layout to popular tools like Allegro, Altium, Eagle etc from WEBENCH. But you will have to modify the layout (add more vias etc.) in the CAD tool. Also, we are not planning on thermal simulation feature in the new tool. Instead, we have a thermal alerts capability, which will alert you if the Tj of any of the critical power components is exceeded as you change components in the design.

Gerold
