hi all,
I have a question about the functioning of the component tlk27-11sp, on the reception how can one know if the data which arrives from the transmitter are data injected throughTXD0 to TXD15 or prbs generator (10 bits)?
thanks
best regards
Kamal,
The receiving device can check for the expected case. Ie, should the transmitter be sending a specific protocol (when not in PRBS mode). If so, then the receiver can attempt to receiving this data and look for the pattern. It should include the comma for byte alignment.
If the protocol or byte alignment is not detected (receiving errors or garbage data), then the FPGA, can turn on PRBS mode and monitor the PRBSPASS pin to validate that PRBS is being received and passing.
This app note can be of some help understanding.
