TINA/Spice/TINA-TI: How to check temperature characteristics

Part Number: TINA-TI

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

Hi,

Please tell me how to check the temperature characteristics at 0 ° C and 50 ° C with TINA-TI.
Is it enough to set the environmental temperature value of analysis parameter to 0 or 50?

In this case, if you execute transient analysis, you may get an alert that "the operating point can not be found" and there is an error.

What should I do then?

Best regards,

  • Hi user5994067,

Depending on what type of simulation you are trying to run, there are different ways to change the temperature. If you are trying to simulate offset voltage drift over temperature, then TINA-TI's built-in Temperature Analysis (Analysis > DC analysis > Temperature Analysis) is the best choice. If you are trying to run an AC analysis or Transient analysis, using the Temperature of environment parameter (found in Options > Set Analysis Parameters) is more appropriate.

I cannot give any specific advice on how to resolve the transient convergence issue, as convergence is a very broad problem which can have a number of causes. If you can share your TINA-TI simulation file, I may be able to provide more feedback on possible causes of the convergence issue.
