Hi Murali,
A simplis model does not exist for this controller. We do have Mathcad/Excel design calculators as well as Webench to generate UCC28630 designs however. These resources are available on this page:http://www.ti.com/product/UCC28630/toolssoftware

Hi,
I was given to understand in another threaad on this subject, a SIMPLIS model was available.
I am already using the tools, but there is no simulation for this device and my range of usage is not in the range of the EVM's. The application is critical and a full analysis is a requirement
As an alternate can we use the spice model for UCC28704?. What mods we may need to do.

Hi Murali,
I am sorry but Arash's answer on the previous E2E thread is not correct. A simplis model is not available for this controller. UCC28704 is a DCM flyback controller and operates using a different control law than the UCC28630. Can you share details about your application? Perhaps I can suggest an alternative controller for your design that has a simulation tool available.

Hi,
70Vac to 308V ac 3Phase
900 to 2400Hz,
33V 2A, output
regulation 1.5% load and line from 10% to 90%
isolated - no opto feed back,
efficiency >85%
similar design for 0.6A and 3.5A (peak 7A, 100ms)

Hi Murali,
Thanks for the additional information. UCC28710 might be an option for your application. This is a primary side regulated DCM flyback controller. I don't have a reference design similar to your spec, but we do have example designs using this controller up to 200W before which is fairly close to your 231W peak loading requirement:http://www.ti.com/tool/PMP10816. The regulation performance is close to 1% in this design. I would also like to mention that both Pspice and TINA models are available for the UCC28710. The models can be found on this page:

Hi Ben,
I dont know how i missed that controller. I think that should be suitable for my application.
Do we have a mathcad file for this controller design.
Thanks for your help
Regards,
Hi Murali,
We don't have a Mathcad calculator but we do have an Excel calculator. The calculator can be found at the bottom of this page:http://www.ti.com/product/UCC28710/toolssoftware
