WEBENCH® Tools/TPS55330: EAGLE export from Power Designer produces repeated 'pin already exists' errors and creates multiple Value

Part Number: TPS55330

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hi Support,

I wanted to point out some problems with the EAGLE export part of the Export option in Power Designer.

It can all be illustrated with one picture really:

Imports into Eagle are really messy;

I have to do a lot of tidying whenever I use components generated by the accompanying SCR file, there are a flurry of 'this pin already exists' errors, about six or seven Value and Name visual elements are created, and in the PCB these are centered over the component. When you go to move/drag your component in a board design you have to drag the six Value notations out of the way first or delete them in the library manager for every component, it's arduous.

My understanding is most of this centres around the way the SCR files are created, could there be a problem in their formatting? I've seen other posts on E2E where they talk about the ordering of elements in the file and how it effects how the components come out.

Hopefully I've provided sufficient detail for the developers to fix these issues, if not please get in touch and I'll do my best to gather information.

Many thanks,

Louis
