Hi,

Kindly share the below details,

1.Operating temperature of reference design board PMP8944.

2. Is there any fan or heat-sink details for PMP8944

    Hello ,

    The PMP8944 was designed with the UCC2897A and this has an operating temperature range of -40C to 125C.
    The temperature range of the design is limited by the electrolytic capacitors which have an operating range of -55C to 105C.
    All of the available test data was taken at 25C but the reference design can be expected to operate from -40C to 105C.

    A fan is not required and there is no heatsink on the board.

    Hi John,

    There is a difference between overall operating temperature of the board and operating temperature of the component right?

    We have planned to use this design with 70deg ambient temperature.

    Can we use this design @70deg ambient temperature under full load condition(that is 6.25A)

    Hi,

    As I said the PMP8944 was tested at 25C.

    You will need to test at 70C and ensure that no component exceeds its maximum rated temperature and that the system meets all of your design requirements.
