WEBENCH® Tools/LMR36520: Vout max

Part Number: LMR36520

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hi,

Good day. I hope everything is fine.

Our customer wants to use the LMR36520 however they noticed that the datsheet contains 2 different statement about the maximum Vout. On the first page, it was stated that Vout can go up to 95% of Vin however on the recommended operating conditions it was 28V. With this, we would like to know which is the correct value for the Vout (max). I've attached the snippet below for reference.

I would appreciate if you could look at it and verify this information. Thank you for your help.

Regards,

Cedrick

  • Hi Cedrick,

95% of Vin means the converter has features of small Toff-min and low dropout capability,

Max Vout 28V is recommended by considering most application cases and junction temp increase by chip power loss. the output voltage can be programmed higher than 28V and output current maybe lower than 1A as long as the junction temp below 125C.
