Your connection looks messy. I suggest you to check it thoroughly and it's recommended to use shorter cable which is not longer than 10cm.

For JTAG connection, you might need to connect TDI and TDO too.

I have no problem to use jlink connecting to LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2F so I suggest you to check your jtag connection thoroughly again.

You are connecting to CC2640R2F with j link. Did I get right?

So which version are you using? Is there a jlink project for CC2640R2L?

Different from CC2640R2L / R2F

Yes, I connect jlink to CC2640R2F. Basically, jTag interface of CC2640R2L and Cc2640R2F are the same.

Hi,

Looking at your earlier screenshots, it seems no data is being read (IDCODE is all 0s). Do you know if the JTAG on this board is already locked? If it is, then that may be the reason for why you are not able to read everything. Another possible reason may be bad connections or wiring as YiKai had mentioned. I would recommend ensuring the wiring is as short as possibly and ensuring there is continuity between the pad and the wire.

Hi,

If the JTAG is locked, then depending on how this was done it may be possible to completely reset and erase the flash of the device by performing a mass erase. This will erase all of the contents of the device, but may unlock the JTAG.

If you have ordered a LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2, then you should not have any issues with the JTAG out of the box.
