CC2564C: Audio streaming connection in parallel to a BLE connection

Hi,

Can you confirm that the CC2564C is able to communicate on a BLE link with a device in parallel with an audio streaming (HFP I guess) connection to another device without sound interruption?

The documentation says "dual mode" and "up to 7 active devices" but I want to make sure that we can have both in the meantime.

In it, Jacob describes the main use case of HFP--2 devices where one is connected as the client and one as the server.

Thanks for the feedback!

I don't think that's the information I'm looking for.

Here is a small schematic to explain it better.

The CC2564C would be in the headset 1. My question is: Can it communicate over HFP with Headset 2 and, in the meantime, communicate with Device 1 using BLE. Both communications would happen in parallel.

Do you think that the CC2564C can manage that?

Hi Harold,

Thanks for including this image--it's much clearer for what you are trying to accomplish.

This is possible--but there is a caveat. For using HFP and BLE, you must implement Unassisted A2DP, meaning the host MCU/processor will need to provide the processing horsepower for audio decoding. If there is a large amount of information being transmitted over BLE, there may be some slight interruptions, but for simple applications there should be no issue.
