LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1: no bin file being generated for simplebleperipheral project

Dear,

my environment is

CCS v11.2
Simplelink SDK v5.2

I cannot see the .bin file I usually flash using Uniflash. Please see screenshot. There are the typical hex, out, map, but no bin.

The project is BLE SimpleBLEPeripheral.

What am I missing here?

project properties / c++ build / settings post-build steps

copy the following

${CG_TOOL_HEX} -order MS --memwidth=8 --romwidth=8 --intel -o ${ProjName}.hex ${ProjName}.out; ${COM_TI_SIMPLELINK_CC13X2_26X2_SDK_INSTALL_DIR}/tools/common/oad/oad_image_tool --verbose ccs ${PROJECT_LOC} 7 -hex1 ${ConfigName}/${ProjName}.hex -k ${COM_TI_SIMPLELINK_CC13X2_26X2_SDK_INSTALL_DIR}/tools/common/oad/private.pem -o ${ConfigName}/${ProjName}_oad

Hi kazola,

Thanks for updating your E2E post with a solution. Using the OAD image tool typically applies to OAD projects, you can also use tiobj2bin to generate a binary file. Please see this E2E thread for more details.

This is not working

tried this and the resulting bin is 360 KB. This seems a bit too high for the memory capacity of the chip and also more complicated codes take way less space.

I am on Linux, removed the extensions of the command you just pasted.

I don't know the exact details of the tiobj2bin tool but guess that it is padding the unused flash memory areas. I have a simple peripheral CC1352P7 example whose binary image is 704 kB.
