Hi.
We are thinking of upgrading from the CC2642R to the CC2652R7 for the additional flash. To evaluate, we are planning to simply assemble our custom board with a CC2652R7 instead of a CC2642R. Can we then use a LAUNCHXL-CC26x2R1 to program and debug the CC2652R7 or do we need to order a LP-CC2652R7 as well?
Sincerely,
Alex
Hi Alex,
The CC2652R7 is pin-to-pin compatible with the CC2652R1 and thus you can use the LAUNCHXL-CC26x2R1 to program and debug the CC2652R7. You will however need to use CC2652R7-based software examples. Please review the Running Software Examples on the CC13x2x7 or CC26x2x7 module of the BLE5-Stack Migration Guide.
Regards,
Ryan
