Hi team,
We're planning to use the CC1352P and looking to find a way to determine antenna health in case the user damages it, but don't know they did.
Are there any ICs or discrete solutions that I could put in line or adjacent to a RF trace to measure reflections in real time or create a sort of TDR/SWR reader?
It looked like LMV225 might be an option?
Thanks,
Jacob
Hi Jacob,
I have assigned this to the organization which is responsible for LMV225. They will come back to you.
Best regards,
Haiatullah
Thank you Haiatullah. I'm looking forward to hearing back from the new group!
Hi Jacob,
If they are measuring antenna VSWR, all they are going to need to do is configure their board to use two LMH2110 or any other power detector to measure both Transmitted Power and Reverse Power. You can use two discrete power detectors and determine the "DELTA" between Transmitted Power vs. Reverse Power to allow a differential output to be taken (VSWR).
This Application diagram was taken out of LMV221 datasheet.
Hi Jacob,
As Jon said, You can implement the VSWR for Antenna using two power detectors. You can consider LMH2110 / LMV225 depending on your Frequency band, Dynamic range etc.. You can also consider below implementation for protection as well as monitoring.
