Hi ,

We need to change or update the MAC of the BLE chipset. This is the customer requirement. Please provide the steps or procedure to change the default MAC of the BLE chipset.

Here one of my collegue showed some options on how to change the BLE MAC address.

Does this fulfill your customers requirements ?

Hi Alex,

I think "HCI_EXT_SetVirtualAdvAddrCmd" API will not support for my requirement. My requirement is my customer will purchase the OUI(

Organisational unique identifier) from IEEE assigned address MAC blocks.

So we need to set customer purchased OUI MAC in BLE chipset rather than TI OUI (i.e) 80:6F:B0:xx:xx:xx

Please help to find a solution for this.

Also Address type should be RPA.

1) So, Shall I use the RPA with Random ID ?

2) When we use the RPA with Random ID, Shall we set my customer purchased OUI in Random address field shown in below image of sysconfig file ?

Her My expectation is, My customer purchased OUI should set as a BLE address instead of public Address fixed in silicon with TI's OUI.

3) But In some Bluetooth forum thread, TI's engineers mentioned that, Only "CA:00:00:00:CA" kind of address shall set as the Random static address . Why it is mentioned like this ?
