CC2642R: BLE SIG Certification

Hi,

We are utilizing the P/N CC2642R1FRGZR in our design for BLE options for our telemetry device.

We are in the process of getting the SIG certification for our design and we have a comment from the agency that “The 3-year period for component 156080 will expire on 11th Jan 2024”

Kindly suggest us if this is a critical for our new design or TI plans to extend the certification again.

I have some good news for you, TI has issued an End Product Listing for the CC2642R1FRGZR device. This should allow you to go through more straight forward Bluetooth qualification process (see §2.1.1.2 of https://www.ti.com/ble-qualification).

Please reference QDID 225762.

For information, the app note mentioned before may not yet mention QDID 225762. An update of the app note should be made by mid-November.
