CC2340R5: Regarding flashing prebuilt demo files via jlink

According to 2, yes, you will need to perform additional step(s) before providing FW as input to JLink.

I know these steps and I have implemented them as well into my project.

What I am asking is how to download below "prebuilt" files using jlink.

Since these .out files are from CS demo project, how to insert CCFG CRC there? Can they be flashed using jlink?

Hi Rasikraj,

Yes, those are .out files and may be considered effectively as .elf files.

I normally use XDS, but for JLINK it may work more nicely with a .bin or .hex (intel hex).

You can use the objcopy utility to convert the file format:

An example of this is shown in the post-build step in the basic_ble_oad_offchip example:

${CG_TOOL_ROOT}/bin/tiarmobjcopy -O ihex ${BuildArtifactFileName} ${BuildArtifactFileBaseName}.hex

(where CG_TOOL_ROOT in my setup is C:\ti\ccs1281\ccs\tools\compiler\ti-cgt-armllvm_3.2.2.LTS)

Ok, this post build script can be used in general I think for example projects.

But my question was for specifically to those prebuilt .out files. [snap attached before]

Since we just have .out files provided from Channel Sounding Demo, how do I insert CCFGC CRC there?

Will it work if I flash via jlink the converted .hex or .bin file of that .out format?

Hi Rasikraj,

The readme.md in <sdk>/tools/common/crc_tool has some more information on how to do this with the .out files (elf files).
