Hi !
I could not find any currently opened ticket about this situation, and David is currently unavailable for a few days, so I have no way to know what the owners of the SimpleLink mobile app had to say about the situation.
Do you still experience the problem of not being able to scan for extended advertisements ?
Kind regards,
Maxence
Hi Maxence Mathieu,
Yes, we are encountering the same issue with the SimpleLink mobile app — although we can see the advertisement on the nRF Connect app, it is not visible or functional in SimpleLink.
David also confirmed that he is facing the same issue on his Android device.
This issue has been open for quite some time now, and we urgently need your assistance as we have an important product demo coming up very soon.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
Best regards,
Jay
HI !
Currently I don't have any more information on the matter, but I should be able to give you an update tomorrow.
Sorry again for the delay.
Kind regards,
Maxence
Hi,
I'm sorry but due to problems outside our control, I will only be able to give you an update tomorrow.
Sorry again for the delay.

Hello Jay,
Thanks for reaching out.
We have recently released a new app version. Let me test with the latest and an Android phone.
May I ask what PHY are you using and what is the adv interval?
BR,
David
Hi David,
We are using Primary and Secondary PHY: 1M, with a interval of 9000 ms.
Please find the attached project HEX file for the LP_Em_CC2340R53.
Best regards,
Jay
Hi David and Maxence Mathieu,
Do you have any updates on this case? Please let me know at your earliest convenience, as we’re awaiting your response.
Best regards,
Jay
Hello Jay,
Apologies for the delay here. I am not able to see the ext adv packets with an IOS 15 phone (TI app or NRF app).
We have raised this to the app dev team and I will come back as soon as possible.
BR,
David.
hey David,
I am not able to see the ext adv packets with an IOS 15 phone (TI app or NRF app).
Just a couple of months ago, we tested this on iOS and it was working correctly — as you also confirmed in the discussion [here – link].
Now, please try checking again using the nRF Connect app on an Android device — you should be able to see the extended advertising packets there.
I'm wondering why this relatively straightforward issue is taking so long like more then 8 moths to address by the app development team?
