Using CC2592 with CC2650 BLE Stack

Hello there!

I want to interface CC2592 with CC2650 BLE stack and I didn't find any satisfactory answer regarding the same in the forum. Can you please help me interface both and can you throw some light on how to interface them?

I am pretty sure it works. Do you use PA_enable on DIO7 and LNA_enable on DIO13? Or you use other pins?

Also note that the maximum allowed output power with BLE is 10 dBm so CC2590 might be a better solution for BLE applications.

Thanks for the reply. Yes. Due to misconfiguration of pins, it didn't connect yesterday. But now, after configuring pins correctly, board is working fine. I'm facing a couple of new problem though.

I uploaded SimpleBLEPeripheral program. But, the peripheral disconnects, because of supervision timeout, after 10 seconds. This happens even if I'm reading values. Please have a look at the screenshots for more information.

Tim,

Thanks for the response. I'm using SimpleBLEPeripheral application and the peripheral disconnects itself after 10 seconds. Even if I'm reading from it. Please refer the screenshots to understand better.

Dear Charlotte,

Unfortunately, our boards were already designed with CC2592. So, there's not much we can do now. :(

Other than settings for CC2592, do you revise anything on SimpleBLEPeripheral program?

YK,

Yes. Our PCB uses 5X5 mm packaging. So, I've to make these changes:

1. Included 5XD board and removed 7ID board. ("${TI_RTOS_DRIVERS_BASE}/ti/boards/SRF06EB/CC2650EM_5XD")

2. Defined CC2650EM_5XD in Options -> Build -> ARM Compiler -> Advanced Options -> Predefined Symbols

3. Removed TI_DRIVERS_LCD_INCLUDED

I followed guide from this link: e2e.ti.com/.../406173

Hi Teja,

You are not using external biasing (XD) when you are using the CC2592. Thus 7ID is the right setting, also for the 5x5 package.
