CC2640R2F: How to respond to a request LL_Feature_Req ?

I using multi-role project of simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk_1_40_00_45 to communication with my APP encountered a problem, central (Android APP) will send LL_Feature_Req,

but peripheral (CC2640R2F) sometimes does not have Response...

How can i modify firmware to response this request, just like following figure.

Below is the our customer original solution, use packet sniffer to record.

Hi Zhiwen,

It looks like the CC2640R2 device there is not responding at all, hence a bunch of retrys. The stack is built such that it will automatically respond to those requests, so what it looks like is the CC2640R2 device may be hung in some sort of exception or unknown state. Do you see this when debugging?

Looking into this a second time, I may actually have additional questions.

What android app are you using?
What android phone and version are you using?
Are you using simple_peripheral or something modified?

Also, are you seeing this on a LaunchPad or are you using your own custom board?

Thank you for your help!Yes,I'm using my own APP and my own custom board!My test andriod phone is HUAWEI Nova 3e and the version is android 8.0.0.I'm using muli_role project.I change some UUID and add some own application.I have uncomment multi_role_startDiscovery in GAP_LINK_ESTABLISHED_EVENT.And I don't know how to catch the state when there is not responding.

Hi Zhiwen,

Do you see the same issue when you use a launchpad and an app such as LightBlue or BLE Scanner?

I’ll have to look the logs in the morning. Were you able to recreate the issues with a launchpad? Are you able to see the issues with the standard multi role example? If not, What changes did you make to multi role? Are you trying to use DLE by chance? Have you tried to reproduce on a newer SDK by chance?

Sorry!I don't have launchpad.It occur the same issue when I use the standare multi role example.I'm only change MAX_NUM_BLE_CONNS=3 and comment GAPBondMgr_LinkEst(pPkt->devAddrType, pPkt->devAddr,pPkt->connectionHandle, pPkt->connRole).standareMulti.psd

hi Zhiwen,

Why did you comment out GAPBondMgr_LinkEst?

Also, I recommend trying to recreate this using a TI launchpad, it will help narrow down the potential root causes and allow us to see if it's a software issue or a custom board issue.

Because every time I using android to connect to the board ,my phone warnning me to entern a pairing key.Does it have any way to figure out the issue if it's my custom board issue?

Zhiwen,

We do not recommend commenting out that line. If you uncomment that, does the issue go away?

If you wish to not show a pairing keyboard on your phone, turn off pairing. You can reference how to do this here:
dev.ti.com/.../gapbondmngr.html

Commenting out LinkEstablish means that your device will never respond to a connect request appropriately and the connection (link) will never be established.
