Hi,

I tested the long range functionality using 2 CC2640r2 Launchpad using BLE5 simple broadcaster and central project (simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk_3_10_00_15).

Configs:

Tx Power: 5dBm

  .primPhy = GAP_ADV_PRIM_PHY_CODED_S2,                               
  .secPhy = GAP_ADV_SEC_PHY_CODED_S2,   

With This configuration and in General mode of advertising I can see the advertising data only till 250m.(with LOS).

So please let me know

1)Is there any other configuration do I need to do .

2)Is TI has any test report regarding the same?

    Hi,

    Are you able to verify the output power (power analyzer or increased TX current etc.)?

    All our test results are provided through the datasheet, but not exactly what you are looking for, I am afraid.

    For product development with BLE5, I'd rather recommend CC2642 instead, as it offers more flash availability.
