CC2640: Stops Advertising Randomly

Can you specify which BLE stack version and example you are testing?

I am using tirtos_simplelink_12_13_00_06 with XDCtools_3.31.1.33 while using the example simpleBLEPeripheral as the base.

BLE stack version is: BLE-STACK-2-1 (Version: 30 July 2015)

Actually our firmware has been developed on BLE Stack 2.1 so it would require effort porting it. Also is there any specific changes in the stack that would really benefit and/or resolve the current issue in hand?

This mentions that this problem is in BLE Stack v2.2.0 and v2.2.1, could it be that it is also in the BLE Stack v2.1.0 but has not been stated?

So I believe it would be highly recommended to port to the latest BLE Stack.

After porting has been done can you suggest any method to verify that the issue has been resolved in our Beacon. One method would be to like turn on multiple Beacons with the new BLE Stack used but I was thinking of a quicker way that comes in mind.

Edit: Also would you recommend we upgrade the ti_rtos verison or the version we are currently using (tirtos_simplelink_12_13_00_06) will work fine?

I don’t have suggestion to verify the issue is fixed. I suppose you have to test it by yourself anyway. By the way, I don’t recommend to update TI RTOS only.

Sorry for reopening this thread but I wanted to clarify one more thing.

Actually I have had a lot of beacon tags running for a really long time (4 years as well) with the BLE Stack 2.1.0 and they seem to be running fine but there are some that have showed up with the problem in only a mere number of hours. 

From this information can we still say that this issue maybe due to the previous BLE Stack version?
